Watch with a dark face and bronze case on a black background

Launched in 2017 following the retirement of our original case family, the Peacemaker marked a reconciliation with the utilitarian design ethos at the core of the brand, while continuing to uncover the lesser-known history of early timekeeping instruments issued to Italian frogmen during World War II.

Its case design is rooted in a rare 1950s prototype and refined to deliver improved comfort, while preserving the strong wrist presence and timeless character that define Gruppo Gamma.

Turn the watch over and confront mechanical truth in its rawest form. The watch movement is revealed in full through a sapphire caseback.

Beneath the caseback also lies the pièce de résistance - Gruppo Gamma’s signature caseback flange, an unmistakable mark of the brand. Inspired by submarine portholes, the ring is finished differently for different models, to match the case material and finishing.

The Peacemaker Family

The latest Peacemaker execution comprises models with 43mm bronze cases, powered by Swiss movements. The automatic models use ETA, whereas the hand-winding ones use Sellita.
These newest models continue to impress with immaculately crafted fumé dials, in sage green and blue.

King of Bronze

Since 2013, Gruppo Gamma has rejected the sterile perfection of steel, instead crafting timepieces that age alongside you.

Using marine grade phosphor bronze (CuSn8) with higher strength and corrosion resistance than most other bronze alloys, the Peacemaker Bronze is designed to accumulate patina like scars of authenticity, creating a signature that intensifies as it transforms into something entirely your own.

Featured in models PN-07, PN-08, PN-19 and PN-20.

Fumé Dial

We introduced the fumé dial in 2018 and have continued to refine it since. The color begins in a lighter shade at the centre and transitions to deeper tones at the perimeter, creating a smoky effect that evolves under changing light.

Paired with the sandwich dial with generously applied Swiss Super-LumiNova, the Peacemaker comes alive on the wrist, shifting in character by day and revealing its presence in the dark.

Featured in models PN-07, PN-08, PN-19 and PN-20.

Strap Monster

We've always been known for "strap monster" watches that look great with just about any strap - leather, rubber, canvas, etc. Changing straps has never been easier too, as we've switched to using thick spring bars, and our signature multi-purpose tool continues to impress.

So if you love to dress up your watch with different straps, the Peacemaker is right up your alley.

The Peacemaker is now shipped with two straps - our amazingly comfortable FKM rubber strap, and a premium leather strap.

Craftsmanship

As a watch enthusiast, you expect your timepiece to be tough and yet refined.
You'd recognise and appreciate the use of the best materials for your timepiece.
There's no other way by which high quality can be achieved.

Mechanical Timekeeping

Mechanical watches are powered by energy stored and harnessed through an intricate clockwork of tiny gears and springs, a technology that preceded quartz watches by almost a thousand years.

The mechanical movements used in our timepieces are of class-leading reliability. They are easy to maintain, and should run trouble-free for many years.

Sapphire watch crystals

Sapphire

Corundum, also known as sapphire, has a hardness of 9 on the Mohs scale of 1 to 10, and is surpassed in hardness only by diamond.

Compared to mineral glass and acrylic crystals, material and tooling costs are much higher for sapphire. All our sapphire crystals are double-domed and have anti-reflective coating on the underside and while this further increases costs, it also improves readability and shatter-resistance.

Premium leather sheets

Leather

Leather has been in use since prehistory for clothing and shelter. It played a key role in the evolution of pocket watches to wrist watches, when timepieces were first worn on the wrist of military personnel by means of leather straps.

Our leather straps are made of top grain cowhide from reputable tanneries.
